What do you want to achieve in 2018? What changes would you like to see in order to improve your circumstances in life? If you could accomplish your biggest dream in 2018, what would it be? That dream that you are reluctant to share because you don’t want anyone to know how crazy you are … Yes, that dream! At the beginning of every new year, we have the opportunity to identify target goals for the year. I know we all know how to set goals, so I’m not going to talk about that. However, what I want to do through this blog is encourage you to REACH in 2018. Don’t just reach for the typical goals… lose weight, stop procrastinating, exercise 3x a week. No! I want to inspire you to REACH for that big, hairy, life-changing dream. In 2018 it’s time to dream bigger than ever before!
Job 14:1 states, “Man is born of a woman of a few days and full of trouble.” The older I get the more I understand that scripture. In life, there seems to always be something lurking that we could be troubled by— heartache, disappointment, worry, set-back, strife, or regret. It’s easy to fall prey to trouble and allow it to weigh us down. Nevertheless, what I’ve also found— is that trouble usually precedes victory. You see, you can’t have victory if you don’t go to the battle first. So don’t be troubled when trouble comes. Instead use that as an opportunity to rise higher and know that God is able to defy the circumstances, defeat the enemy on your behalf, and bring you out of any trouble you may be facing. When it comes to setting goals and aspiring bold dreams, we must remember what Exodus 14:14 says: “The Lord will fight for you, if you just stay calm” (NLT).
It’s easy to set small, manageable goals because we feel that within ourselves that’s all we can realistically handle. Often times we shy away from the audacious goal because we feel it´s out of our league. But that’s where we have it wrong. When you team-up with God – the odds just turned in your favor—and with Him, there’s nothing that we can’t do or accomplish in this life because ¨With God, all things are possible ¨(Matt 19:26).
More often than not, it´s God who places those bold, daring, supernatural dreams in our hearts. Within ourselves, we can never imagine achieving such lofty dreams, so we push them down and bury them. But what we really should do is rise higher. Don’t be afraid to dream bigger; we serve a big God. He loves to see us look to Him for help in order to see the impossible, made possible. For God is with you, and God is for you!
¨In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps” (Proverbs 16:9).
Make the decision today to go for that dream or goal that could radically change your life. You may have a dream that you’ve buried and given up on, but it´s time to stir it back up. Put aside fear, doubt, and discouragement that is holding you back from pursuing your big dream. Whether you are:
DREAMING for a house
DREAMING for a job
DREAMING for God to heal your body
DREAMING for God to restore your family
DREAMING for a mate
DREAMING of starting a business
Remember, we serve a more than enough, running over, exceedingly abundant, above and beyond King. Get in agreement with God and and speak life, success, and victory. God loves when we dream big, so raise your faith, launch-out and watch your impossible, be made possible.
Get ready to reach,

This was encouraging to read! Dreaming is scary because it does so often set us up for disappointment, but you are so right, God just wants us to let go and trust Him. He’s bigger than our troubles!
